Nova Scotia Online Crossbow Course Overview

Step 1: Take the online crossbow education course

• Cost: FREE
• Study the course
• Pass 5 end of chapter quizzes with a minimum of 80%
• Required Study Time - must be complete before moving to the next chapter
• Return at any time and continue where you left off

Mandatory: Must have a valid Wildlife Resources Card with either a hunting certification (HQ or HT) or a bow certification (B) in order to be eligible to receive certification from the online crossbow course.

Step 2: Purchase your crossbow certification

• Cost: $29.95 + TAX – Must be paid in order to be certified
• Pay by VISA, MasterCard, by phone, or mail a cheque
• Enter your valid Wildlife Resources Card Number
• Print your Certificate of Completion
• Nova Scotia DNR will be updated automatically and your file will be updated on the NS DNR Wildlife Resources System

Step 3: (Optional) Update your Wildlife Resources Card

• Purchase a new card
• Cost: $6.25 + HST
• If purchasing a new Wildlife Resources Card, please wait 30 days after you have completed the online course before ordering.
